SEPTEMBER -”1, 2, 3, COUNT WITH ME!"
Numbers are everywhere and number recognition is a building block for children and their success in math. In these wonderfully engaging stories, rhymes, and songs, we'll count along with the dinosaurs, monkeys, and ducks and enjoy the beginnings of subtraction with adorable cats and cupcakes. (Just pretend, of course.) It's a totally back to school sum it up of prime fun!
OCTOBER”- "WHOPPERS FROM THE WOODS!"
Take an imaginative walk into the woods in these heartwarming and humorous tales with a tidy badger, a helpful beaver, a few hungry foxes, and a thicket full of clever rabbits. In addition to some "tall tale" fun, children will discover the natural wonders of these woodsy creatures and learn the importance of respecting an animal's natural habitat.
NOVEMBER - “I'M THANKFUL FOR MY SENSES”
In this eyes, ears, mouth, nose, and hands-on storytelling program, children have the opportunity to engage and discover through stories the importance of their five senses. It's the perfect month to teach the little ones to be thankful for these precious gifts and how they use them each day, or even sometimes when they can't use them. It's a sensory feast serving up helpings of yummy, don't touch, wows, and feel goods.
DECEMBER - “SANTA'S LITTLE HELPERS”
Tap! Tap! Tap! Mend! Shine! Trim! The little ones are helping in a BIG way this holiday season! Join the shoe repairing elves, the star polishing angels, and the decorating moose in spritely and magical tales. Celebrate this wonderful time of year with stories of giving, sharing, helping, and caring.
JANUARY - “PENGUINS ON PARADE”
With some waddles, flaps, and glides, listeners will slide into a winter parade with the adorable, comical, and kids' favorite bird--THE PENGUIN! Delightful stories that present interesting facts about coloring for camouflage, unique calls, eating krill, and the "NO WINGS" bird of the icy Antarctica. I can't fly, but I can WALK LIKE A PENGUIN!
FEBRUARY - SOMETIMES I FEEL..........."
Silly, grumpy, sad, mad, scared, happy, excited--so many emotions the wee ones can experience throughout their day. In these kid-friendly teaching tales, children will learn how to PAUSE, REFLECT, AND RESET their come and go feelings with a sprinkle of love for themselves and others. Why are your eyebrows squished together? Let's have a story about that!
MARCH - “FUN WITH OPPOSITES!”
Stop/Go, Big/Small, Quiet/Loud. Simple opposites are just right for the young kids (1-3's) and for the older one (4-5's) too, but a few tossed in complex ditties (Expensive/Cheap, Opaque/Translucent). Through movement, songs, and stories kids will have fun in these brain development Right/Left, Up/Down,Open/Shut playful flip side fables.
APRIL - “RHYMING FUN WITH MAMA GOOSE!”
Celebrate National Poetry Month as we cut loose with the best loved rhymes of Mother Goose. It's a wild and theatrical presentation of the non-sensical, rhyming pieces with pizzazz, guaranteed to instill a love for poetry in the "one shoe off and one shoe ons."
MAY - “HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW?”
April showers bring May flowers! A fragrant and informative program for the "lil sprouts!" In story and song, listeners will become budding experts, learning about the parts of a flower, how flowers grow, pollination, and how the simplest of flowers can brighten the world and someone's day.
JUNE - “FIVE OCEANS OF FUN!”
Dive into some oceanic tales of the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern, and Arctic and explore the unique inhabitants of these deep and different waters. Meet turtle, beluga whale, sea anemone, sharks, and more in this summer underwater storytelling adventure.
JULY - “CASTLES, DRAGONS, AND KNIGHTS...OH MY!”
Kiddos love fantasy play and what better way to "play" than to gear up as a knight, adorn a crown, or show one's fiery roar. It's a make-believe castle frolic with gentle lessons in friendship, cooperation, and kindness.
AUGUST - “CHILD, CHILD, WHAT SHAPE DO YOU SEE?"
I see an octagon looking at me! This exciting story time offers an understanding of shapes as well as colorful visuals. Whether your favorite shape is a circle, square, oval, rectangle, or heart, it's a geometric delight for the future dimensional experts!
