SUPER ATTRIBUTES FROM FAIRY & FOLKTALE CAPERS
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No! It’s the “Super Attributes!” In the “Super Attributes From Fairy & Folktale Capers” program, Jo spins tales focusing on the unique “Super Attributes” of Acceptance, Kindness, Friendship, & Loyalty that encounter situations with the “Super Villains” of Prejudice, Stubbornness, Jealousy & Bullying. Told with humor, sincerity, and lots of role-playing, Jo invites kids to participate in interactive fairy and folktales with thought-provoking questions and audience input after the stories.
CELEBRATING KANSAS!
Blaze the Kansas trails in a rootin' tootin’ celebration of KS history and folklore. In her fancy old time britches, Jo will spur your pioneer spirit with tales of KS cowboys, outlaws, and hometown heroes. Listeners will take kindly to all the fun role-playing and sing-a-longs as we travel the trails and tales of the beloved state of Kansas!
THE BLUE MARBLE
The name “The Blue Marble” comes from the way Apollo astronauts described the earth from space. In this multi-cultural storytelling program, listeners will get to see the world as a whole. Stories and songs from around the world guide audience in a discovery that every part of our “blue marble” is as important as the next.
CATCH THE READING BUGS!
Students will get the buzz for reading in this delightful high energy program of bug stories from around the world. They’ll get a doctor up your reading prescription from “Dr. Jo” as she teaches them how to “catch the reading bugs.” This program not only relays the importance of reading, but also encourages research, related reading, rewriting, and re-reading.
KID-AUTHORED WHOPPERS!
Jo invited youngsters to write a story about an ordinary event and encouraged them to "get creative" with their story and S-T-R-E-T-C-H it a bit as all good writers do. They wrote some WINNERS and you'll love hearing them in this hilarious kid-authored whoppers tall tale program! Jo will also invite listeners to "get creative" right on the spot by putting together an audience-authored story which Jo will then tell and invite the "creators" to jump in and role-play. All ages will delight in the exaggerated yarns and leave with the tools for successfully writing a tall tale too.
INCREDIBLE INVENTORS
Take a trip inside the minds of famous inventors and hear stories about their wild and wacky inventions. Whether your a science fan or not, you'll be astonished by the tales of how certain things were invented by shear accident, inventions that almost failed, and supposedly impossible inventions that remain with us to this very day. Inventors included but not limited to Alfred Nobel (dynamite), Mary Anderson (windshield wipers), Ruth Wakefield (Toll House Cookies) George Washington Carver (crop rotation) and more!. You'll be so inspired, you'll start planning an invention of your own.
READ ACROSS AMERICA
It's a "Let's Get Reading" Celebration as storyteller, Jo Ho shares the inside scoop on where Dr. Seuss and other popular authors got their ideas for their books. Audience will get a chance to create their text to a "story," having some rhyming fun of their own! Funny characters and clever voices presented by Jo make for a great program.
EXTRA! EXTRA! HEAR ALL ABOUT IT!
It's great to do great in sports, dance, art, or any interest, but it's even greater to excel in character. In Jo's good for the heart and peppy sportsmanship stories, listeners will get an inspiring jump start in lifetime skills of being a good sport in all they do.

Capture the spirit of American pioneers who helped tame the frontier in this TALL TALE storytelling program. Storyteller Jo Ho tells the tales of robust, resourceful, courageous and sharp witted memorable characters. Discover gold in California with Sweet Betsey from Pike County, MO, pound some steel with John Henry, and rope some cows with Pecos Bill as Jo takes you on a romp through America's early day.
D.E.A.R. DAY (DROP EVERYTHING AND READ)
"Drop Everything and Read," is a nation April-long celebration of reading, designed to remind kids from 0-99 to make reading a daily top priority. With recommendations of age-appropriate books along with interactive stories, Jo will inspire kids to make sure that reading is a regular part of their Monday through Sunday routine.

Jo is 1/8 Irish and has been sharing her Irish tales for 30 years now. Appropriate for all Leprechauns!
SIZZLING SUMMER BEACH PARTY
Set sail for an imaginative journey to the Hawaiian Islands with storyteller Jo Ho, as she presents tropical folklore and legends. Stories of family, friends, and community from yesterday and today--and a very special story about a TURKEY. There's lots of participation for listeners and Jo looks forward to teaching you the "turkey bop."
